Sarah's Post

One day, Sarah shared her blog on facebook, I opened it while doing my TTKI (read: Indonesian subject) final assignment. And I found a short-frank-hilarious statement about me.
Marlina Siagian : Miss suara termerdu FTMD tapi kalau disuruh nyanyi ogah padahal suka bunyi sendiri. Ketawanya nggak bisa dikontrol. Biasanya sih menular.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Okay this is my response or maybe clarification :p
Previously I would say thank you very much Sarah for your opinion about my voice, but still (as you know) I never think my voice that good. And about “suka bunyi sendiri” ya I forced to agree haha. Singing is my hobby :)
Laugh uncontrolled. It might be positive and negative. Positive, because laughing will make everyone relax. Negative, if I can’t control laugh in an important forum.
“Mendingan jangan jadi Wirasewaka Lin kalo ketawanya gitu banget” -Sarah-
Fyi, I wrote this while laughing.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

The question you should be asking isn’t, What do I want? or What are my goals? but What would excite me?

Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe
(Super easy listening, especially the chorus)
Chorus:
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here’s my number, so call me, maybe?
It’s hard to look right, at you baby, but here’s my number, so call me, maybe?
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here’s my number, so call me, maybe?
And all the other boys, try to chase me, but here’s my number, so call me, maybe?
CHRISYE - MARLINA
I’m scrolling my facebook timeline and found out this one. A song from Indonesian legendary artist, Chrisye, with Marlina as the title. I still remember how I surprised of this song (THAT’S MY NAME!). People who introduce this song to me: my English teacher, Ibu Niknik. She sang this song in the class. Also my Indonesian teacher, Ibu Eti. And also ibu kantin ayam negro. I’m missing 2 Bandung so much!
Oh, HAPPY LISTENING friends :)
A little description about my nickname.
MARLINA SIAGIAN.
Nickname(s) given by people around me:
- Family: LINA
- Elementary School: LINONG
- Junior High School: LINONG
- Senior High School: MARLIN, MARL, KUNING
- College: LINA, LINONG, MARLIN
It is interesting for me to guess who is called me behind, especially in campus. ES, JHS, also SHS friends exist there, so suddenly I have lots of nicknames. Oh ya, there are also several meanings for my spontaneous nicknames (created by me).
“Mar”: Hemm not so close to me; acquaintance, maybe he/she doesn’t know my character yet, we know each other by some condition.
“Marl”: Better than “Mar”, a little bit closer to me, he/she is a unique person (it’s difficult to say r and l in a same time, right?). I usually use “Marl” for my post, picture, or notes identity.
“Lin”: This is THE BEST, I usually think anyone who use “Lin” is very close to me; family, besties, etc. If I meet new friend and he/she call me “Lin”, I’ll feel more comfort to talk with him/her.
Anyway I wrote this post randomly because I don’t know what I suppose to do after physics exam. Fyi, one of my friend change “Mar” into “Lin” to call me. That’s nice :)
